The Challenge
Hino Trucks needed a comprehensive digital transformation that would reposition their brand while maintaining their established identity. The challenge was to create a cohesive design system that could elevate their visual presence, improve user engagement, and provide a scalable foundation for future growth—all while showcasing the quality and strength of their commercial vehicle offerings.
Visual Focus
The design strategy spotlights Hino Trucks’ products through high-impact, strategic imagery placement. Large-format product shots were carefully integrated to showcase craftsmanship and attention to detail, creating immediate visual impact. This visual emphasis is supported by a streamlined typography system using bold, assertive fonts that reinforce Hino’s robust brand personality while maintaining excellent readability across all touchpoints.
User Experience & Scale
Built as a comprehensive design system with scalability at its core, the solution allows for seamless expansion as the brand evolves. The system’s true scalability was proven through its implementation across hundreds of Authorized Hino Dealer websites, requiring strategic collaboration with the client to determine editable components versus non-negotiable brand elements. The user experience was restructured around intuitive navigation patterns and clear information hierarchy, directing users effortlessly to key areas while maintaining visual coherence. Each design component was systematically planned to ensure harmony between design intent and development implementation, facilitating smooth handoffs and consistent execution across all digital touchpoints. This systematic approach establishes a cohesive brand experience that supports Hino Trucks’ long-term strategic vision while providing local dealers with flexible customization options.
